I am not sure what you mean by training, as far as military or not. There are many people in this country who can make these shots hunters, sport shooters, military, trained terrorists, and most definately more.

The sniper is being smart, making only one shot and then moving on whether he kills or not. Unless the authorities get lucky by being in the right place at the right time they are not going to catch him.

I hope I am wrong.

With the success of Silence of The Lambs, Hollywood has replaced The Drug Lord, with serial killers.  They are the main villain in a long list of recent movies.  Since most of Hollywood spends half the time "on the couch".  A quick Freudian explanation for these atrocities, appeals to them.  So we end up getting this theory shoved down our throats on a regular basis.  I ain't buying it.  I belive that some people are simply evil.  This shooter definitely quilifies. Shooting a little boy, a decent man with 6 children, a woman right in front of her husband.  This would indicate a depraved indifference to his targets.  The shooter is simply evil, and should be dealt with as such.

aren't most serial killings sexual in nature? Hidden, with the perp trying to kill and get away with it so he can do it again when the urge arises. THis guy wants the spotlight on him and can't see him getting his rocks off sexually doing it. This is cold blooded murder. PLanned, executed possibly organized by someone other than the shooter(s).

You know how many people were murdered in DC alone in 2000?

Over 200.

I didn't take the the time to add in all the other outlying areas in Virginia and Maryland.

Mr. KnuckleheadSniper is good print and he sells advertising. Other than that he's not much more than a pimple on the statistics.

Which state will try him? Or... will it be Federal? If it's federal, didn't they just ban the death penalty? In any case... kill one, you're a murder. Kill ten, and you're a nutcase.

If caught let's assume he's declared insane. We put rabid dogs down why not those humans that commit acts that make them inhuman?

This is why its VERY IMPORTANT to research which judges you vote for in your elections.  If liberal judges are successful, they nominated later on in life for supreme court positions.  RESEARCH before you vote.

Didn't the Federal Supreme Court make the ruling?

Not sure how voting changes Supreme Court opinion...
