My stance on the bomber issue.
« on: September 28, 2001, 09:51:00 AM »
Ok, I want to make this clear to those who think that I am the stupidest person on the board. What I said in the other thread was directly related to the fact that at least 1/2 the people in there wanted bombers removed because they affected the "style" of gameplay in the arena, lazs in particular. Every time I tried to get my point across, I'd be attacked and insulted, to which I'd try again, to have it happen again.

To make it perfectly clear and to avoid confusion, here is my stance on the buff issue. Being a bomber pilot, I do notice the "wierd" things with them. The extreame altitude, the manuverability at said altitude, the pinpoint accuracy, and no blast radius. I know about these things, and I want them fixed. Nowhere have I ever said I like them the way they are, I was arguing about the fact that people want them removed because they "ruin the fun" of the fighter guys.

To be frank, I want them fixed, just not removed, because I seriously doubt the fact that they "ruin the fun" of anyone in the MA.

Am I clear now?

I flew 4 buff missions to attack airfields last night over 18K (no strato though) and was shot down on 2 of them. I fly both buffs and fighters. Last night I also went up in a 190D9 and intercepted and shot down a B17 and lanc otw to our HQ. I nailed them both without taking any damage.

I don't really know what's the big deal about buffs. They come in mighty handy when trying to take some ground.

Regards
