I have a theory, by the time its ready for prime time, the software engine will be obsolete as fast as the software/hardware industry is moving along today...(I'd like to use AH graphics as "Example A")

Actually animal, they're distributing the work load (This product will be "user-influenced" I believe, in regard to FM, skins, models, etc) to several outside the company so it will be easier to blame the other guy for a poor product! :D

J/K Targetware folks, I know your watching ;)

apparently they're also working on Target:Berlin (late WWII) and Target:Flanders (WWI), but, as i'm sure HTC can confirm, it take a hell of a long time to develop a full combat flight sim. there are so many different parts that are difficult to put together and because it's a niche market, only limited capital available with which to do the job...for WWI sims there is also Wings with Wires ( http://wingswithwires.com ) and Target for Tonight (WWII night bomber sim - http://nightbomber.com ) has been in the works for at least two years

They are not making false relsease date promises, so they can take as long as they want.

Or look at Team Fortress 2.  Supposed to be an add-on for Half-life.  Now it seems almost to have vanished into the same place that missing socks go during the wash/dry cycle.
