hey 90% of our players end up going MA...were kind of like a cleanup ground for the scum that comes out of the 2 weeks free. what we do is give em manenrs a sense of good form for the game and knowledge on how to talk on vox and channel one.
we also teach em how to dogfight and bomb.

and we are generally not whiney we have what we have and like it we just resent being completely ignored in our ideas to make the game better...so ignored that people think of us as complete idiots when we are not.

you are wasting your time...some of these people actually believe that their 14.95 a month entitles them to look down their swollen noses at people who enjoy something different than they do.

i have flown main arena...it has its appeal...especially if you like sitting in front of your pc staring at the screen while flying 20 minutes just to get into a fight...(could read a few books otw too)

i have flown h2h...it has its appeal...especially if you like shooting down inept kids (which i do enjoy) and roadkillting with your buddies while getting a good drunk on.

thing is...there seems to be a few main arena players who participate in this bulletin board that think their opinions are more valid than others because they pay 14.95 a month...phfft

i suspect HTC is smart enough to pick the ideas they like and use them in their own way regardless of the source.  To think otherwise is foolish.

I have been playing this game for nearly 3 years, and I have always been amazed at the amount of hostility that is present towards h2h players. Its not good for the game...and it is certainly not good for business. I know of dozens of potential customers that were turned away due to this "sickness".

I would have subscribed to main arena continuously for quite some time had it not been for this hostility. The negative posts towards h2h players have caused me (and quite a few people i have played with) to shun the main arena and spend no more than a little bit of time now and then.

Its just not worth paying 14.95 a month to be treated like scum half the time on this BBS just because i was a h2h player and still am. However, I place no blame on HTC. I blame the very few egomaniacs who enjoy insulting and ridiculing people who prefer a different gaming experience. Its not a question of the haves dissing the havenots its more a question of the mean people just being mean. Pretty frightning to think that some of these people are employers and parents and some may even be teachers.

But...i have learned to accept this. I go about by business. I play some MA...I play some h2h...and I try not to lash out too often.

Lets see how many more potential customers that morons like Mathman can chase away!

HTC take note: these types are costing you money...alot of money...maybe you should consider this from time to time.

I have visited HTH just to warm up before entering the MA. I don't stick around on the dweeby HTH servers, though (high ammo loads, spits only, etc.). Some of the HTH hosts are great fun and yes there are talented pilots occasionally.

Anyway, the hostility is inherent in any adrenaline filled environment, and AH is no different. Yeah, some of the more abrasive types get old (cough) and they do fill the boards up. It's been like that for ten years, at least. I think it's part of human nature.

Certainly some people are being harsh on H2H players. I believe AcesHigh is a global game. Some people like me come from small towns in some remote part of the world. Because of weak and laggy connections we never move on to MA. Its also a fact that regardless of where you come from the membership fee is same. For American people $15 may not be much but its quite a lot for some other countries. I can rent a two bed home in my place for that kind of money.

 HTC's customers opinions are more important to them than the opinions of non customers. Do I need to explain why ?
