Wild guess but I remember hearing something on the lines of St Louis...

Joedirt you might just be the funniest person I'll never meet. (Unless we meet at the con) :P
There must also be a flyable computer available for Nefarious to do FSO. So he doesn't keep talking about it for eight and a half hours on Friday night!

Washington  DC belongs to no state.

This city i'm talking about is only city in america that this situation happens. You can not get to this city with out going out of state to get to it. thats like saying  every new yorker would have to leave new york state to get to New york city, New york.

If you want to go to this city and your from the same state as this city you would have to leave your state to get to this city and then you would have to leave your state to get back home again..

MwRod - do you mean East St. Louis, which is actually in Illinois?

A few more: [list=1]
  • Which four states have capitals suffixed with the word "City"?
  • Which four states have capitals whose names are the names of US Presidents?
  • Which four states have capitals whose names begin with the same letter as the state itself?
  • Two pairs of states are next to eachother in the alphabetical list of states, and also share a state line. Can you name both pairs of states?

no east st. louis Il. and St. louis mo. are 2 diff cities. same for kansas city mo and kansas city kansas

another example to help you understand. say this state has 50 citys. 49 lay in state boundries. 1 city  is in another state. It only happens 1 time. ( at least only know of 1.)

This city isn't half one state half in other . Entire city is within anothers states boundries.

Mjolnir - woohoo! :D  Perfect score.

In your Q., do you mean that some capitals have the names of months in them, or just certain letters?
