How about limiting damaged engines (I.e. oil damage) to only being able to produce 80% of maximum power?

Also, add another sound (engdamage.wav) so we can have some cool sputtering engine sounds.

if your eng is leaking oil , it will still produce full power until it runs out of oil , and for a little time after

Yeah.. ok fine.. Then how about a new damage for engine. Not a Engine dead or engine OK.. an engine 'little screwed up'

ok, i know what you mean , like losing one or two cyls or other damage to the eng that would reduce power but not stop the eng , at least not right away, i would go for that

Me too.  Also I would like to see a mid-grade for both radiator and oil hits so that the fluid might leak a bit slowly.  One radiator ping in a dogfight=deadmeat in 1 min which is sort of frustrating.
