Huh?  How would a 5 minute 'death penalty' make the game more fun?  Are you arguing that the only people who would die would be the new subscribers (because of their newness), sparing us old timers from the 'inconvenience' of dealing with them?

This is just spite, don't pee on us and say it's raining.

lol, not only did you appraoch HTC about it in the best possible way - accusing them of selling out out - you also show a clear lack of understanding about online game business models, as well as  player/customer dynamics.

lol, "death penalty."

Take off, fly five minute, get bounced, die, wait five minutes, rinse, repeat.

Fun.
A penalty for dying isn't a bad idea, but a timer to re-up is a horrible way to do it.

The death penalty in AH is wasting the time to fly back into the fight again.

Oh, were you too close to the enemy field and got shot down by someone you'd just killed?  Well, tough.

Looks at stringer with fresh catch already on it, sniffs bait and swims away. :)

On the basis of real-world considerations, it would seem to me that a death-penalty period would be a valuable feature to implement in AH -- except that, in order to keep the new arrivals and dweebs from getting fed up with the game and going elsewhere, your time-out period would increase as your K/D, K/S, and K/hr numbers went up, in order to keep the people who are shooting down all of the newbies and dweebs from whacking them over and over again, ruining their experience.

I suggest a better way. Every time you kill someone, $1 from his credit card is transfered to you account. Trust me, no more suicide behaviour around. Not many people around either I afraid :)

restricting where when how and what folks can fly is stupid as ah hell.

The main aint a scenario or a war. There are events that run 4 times a week. All with a death penalty.

Leave the main alone.......

Werent you going to sue ht and crew anyway?...

th only restrictions we have on perked planes are self imposed. Everyone can earn perk points and spend umm where when how on what they want.

Thats not the same thing as getting shot down and waiting 10 min to reup or limitinting the number of airframes per field.

Read that thread dumb arse where did I say we need to stop people from flying what and how they want?

Go find it......

I suggested adjusting the victory/reset conditions away from field capture to strat objects to limit the impact that suicide pilots have on the rest of us.

Why do make stuff up to suit your point.....??

Go read that thread

Btw we all know you hate perk planes but the perk syrtem works in ah and was actually suggested first by the community at the time.

All your petty whining about getting banged in perk plane is bs.

Same as your my il2 is week whine....

Hehe just screwin with ya. :D
Hook line and sinker.

Also, the il2 is extremly durable for an AH plane, as I just posted.  (Whats the point of an argument, without data?  and whats the point of arguing when the facts say otherwise?)

And I don't hate the perk system, it's a great idea that is incredibly under-utilized.  I just like making fun of people who pull the "You can't tell me what to fly, I pay my $15" crap.

If there were such a penalty in effect when I first started playing this game, I would never have subscribed.  I'm sure 9 of 10 new players would do the same.  New players die a lot, and most of them will get tired of waiting 5 minutes and log off and find more entertaining things to do.  HTC are trying to run a business here and put food on the table for their families, so chasing off customers would probably not be a good thing for them.  If you want a 5 minute death penalty feel free to wait 5 minutes before taking off after you get shot down.
