Aww...musta been too easy.  Yep, Yak-9U "Barbarossa" powered by a 1400hp Allison V1710. They claim it'll do 425mph. :eek:

The owner of this plane performed an aerobatic routine at the Arctic Thunder airshow this summer at Elmendorf AFB, Alaska. I've never gotten too excited about Yaks before but I must say that this is one of the most beautiful airplanes I have ever laid my eyes on. Pictures and computer generated models just don't do the Yak justice. It's absolutely stunning! Very graceful in flight as well. Here's another view:

Yup, very nice smooth lines on that plane, would dare say it's the only real good fighter that VVS produced during WW2. Only one good in real life instead of just on the paper atleast.
