I learned it from a comp sci professor.  Whenever you learn a new language the first function you write you invariably name foo() or foobar() which is the PC version of fubar.

well u would be surpried i did a study at school and 99.8% of students at my school had no idea what fubar ment sooooo...........i'm adding a extra 20 - 30 ppl (u guys)  so the percentage ain't so bad
