OK, after watching this movie twice (and the lesbian scenes about 13 times), I think I have most of it figured out.

But who the hell are the two guys in the diner talking about the dream one of them had, only to walk out back and have the one guy die from seeing some "person" behind the dumpster?  What role do they play in anything?  Or don't they?

I think that was a scene left over from a different movie.  They just thought it was too good to waste.
