Wow. I bet it looks even better in game. Screenies always loose a bit of 'life' I find.

GF3/ GF4 minimum to get the above water reflections.. I assume they'd work on an ATI 9700 Pro (don't see why not)

$900 for my new system (minus the video card, monitor)  High end PC's are very cheap in these economic hardship times. And you could build it yourself for about 1/2 that price.

IL2 is beautiful.

Christ, rip.  And to think, there are people that claim that flight sim addiction is a victimless crime.

The water looks sharp, but it still looks a bit "too" sharp and clean for my tastes. It just looks.... artificial. I don't find it any more appealing really than the AH water or some of the old Kraits textures for AW. I guess I'll have to wait a few more years for another generation or two of hardware advancement.

[I have seen water that clean before, but it was at 6:00 am on a Tenessee lake in a TVA flooded valley -- or in the tub  :)]

I would say that IL2 does look better in game then in screen shots. If that is the case with FB...wow.

most of 'our' lakes are that clear.. rivers even more so.

as for in-game v.s. screen shots.. ingame usually blows away the screenies.. can't wait for FB

All that and 32 player coops.

If Oleg can pull that off,  it is time for people to start looking over their shoulder.

I had the original - the graphics were badass, the planes handled great, it was a terrific game... and over the course of a year I probably played it a whopping total of 10 hours.  Playing online was too much trouble compared to AH, and overall, AH is a much better GAME.  Sad, really, because it was beautiful... I traded it a week ago.
