My fps seem to always be the same amount, always around 65 fps, never higher, someone told me of a cure and I think its linked to monitor refresh rate/video sync or something like that,I did it and my fps went up to 100fps+.......but,I installed new 3d drivers and now my fps have gone back to the old number, and yup,Ive forgotten what it was I did to get em up again, anyone know??:)

First of all, 65 is a great fps rate, think I heard the human eye works at 30 fps or something like that. Anything higher shouldn't increase your perception of the game, theoretically at least.

Right click on your desktop, click properties, settings, advanced, monitor. The refresh rate should be there. Select the highest rate your monitor supports, click apply.

Yeah, know all that,my monitors highest refresh rate is 100,which it is set at,but 'something' is restricting my fps from going any higher, wish I could remember what it was I was told to 'unlock' it hehehe:D

You have two choices..

turn off v-sync.  You may need a tuner program such as Rivatuner to do this (for nVidia cards)  http://www.guru3d.com

Increase the refresh rate of your monitor
in display settings adapter refresh rate

oh and a thrid option... make sure in AH Video that you do not have FPS limited

Some of the nvidia drivers have a bug that makes the refresh rate stay at 65 or so, there is a tool called NV refresh tool that will let you reset so can get the high refresh rates or RivaTuner will reset this also as mentioned above
