...just happened recently.

The first use of an aircraft emergency parachute system by a licensed pilot in an actual emergency.

BRS makes good stuff....I was in touch with them a while back, investigating installation of a BRS in a BD-5.

Wow.  I wonder if this will boost sales of Cirrus planes in the months to come, or if other plane manufacturers will adopt that system.  

Wish the Yak-9T had one of those.  I could have used it last night after losing my left aileron and wing tip!  ;)

Cirrus -  There's a name I haven't heard for a while.  This company did the molds for my senior design project in college.  Built several carbon fiber fuselage parts to the tune of $5-6K.

Last I heard they were in Duluth MN.  Are they still there?
