Rolling Stones - 40 Licks Tour
« on: October 28, 2002, 07:49:24 AM »
Saw the show in Atlanta this weekend.  For a bunch of old guys they can still ROCK.

I highly recommend going to the upcoming shows in Vegas, LA or Tacoma...for those on the West Coast.

So sorry... just the sound of the name "Mick Jagger"  and his history make me roll my eyes and say "No thanks".  Yes, there's a few good tunes out there by them...but I wouldnt go out  of my way to see a bunch of rehab'd drunks who think they are still 22 bang away on stage.  They hired a new PR agency to try to "fix" this image.  Good luck!

Offer me Jimmy Buffet or some other singers, and now your talking!

Oh dear LePaul...Jimmy Buffet?

No thanks....

I guarentee I saw more naked breasts (on women 18-35) at this one show than have been seen at ALL of Jimmy Buffet's shows combined.

Say what you want about 'em, but the Stones sell out the big venues (like Turner Field) every time.

Mick Jagger could run circles around me, even though he is twice my age.  Keith Richards (when he sang a couple of tunes) said "It's great to be here tonight"...then he paused and said "Actually it is great to be anywhere tonight"...so they not only have the talent still...but they also have a sense of humour.
