I second that Question........

Also Wildthing, don't go embarassing me now...LOL

I have also tryed to post pics ( jpg's, Gif's, tif's, etc) to noavail.  Help on these would also be appreciated. I attach them, I make sure they are under the limit, but when I preview my post , they disappear!

Hi TC!  :)  Well JPGs and GIFs should post OK, but TIFs aren't listed in the file extensions below the Browse window.  To attach a file is pretty easy, as long as it is in one of those formats and is under 102400 bytes.  Simply click the Browse to locate the file on your system that you want to attach and click Submit Reply.  As an example, I will attach a photo below :)

The alternative way is to post pictures to a website and insert them using the the IMG codes - however, some websites don't seems to work very well with this method.  If you have a reliable website, using IMG codes works well and means you can have more than one in each post.  To use this method, click IMG above,
enter the URL for your picture, and click OK - like I have done for this:

Adding to what Flossy said, you cannot "preview" a post and see the picture you attached.  It is only when you have actually submitted the post that the attached picture appears.

Good to see ya Flossy( the tiff thingy i said was just a reference), and thanks to you, jonnyb, Alf, etc...

that last one from jonnyb explained why I wasn't seeing them in the preview. I didn't post them when I saw the pictures wasn't in the preview.

Thanks Ya'll

btw, Ak-Ak  when you mention codec type, are you refering to what format is better?

if so,  I find converting them to avi or ram better.

Divx.  Good quality, VERY small size, reasonably standard.  Avoid things like quicktime and realvideo, or am I the only one driven nuts by those ad-packed, bloated, "BUY ME NOW!"  players?

The choice of movie pirates everywhere.(Except the freaks who consider anything except dvd quality or better beneath them)

The size needs to be under 100k.  Many programs which produce jpegs use iffy compression algorithms.  Two programs which can be downloaded and used for getting decent jpeg compression are The GIMP, and a small program callled "VuePro".  vuepro is small, fast, and can save quite well compressed jpegs.  The GIMP is better at it, especially if you're being picky about the quality, you can tweak exactly how much quality you're willing to trade for file size.

I'm sure there are other good programs out there for it, just don't count on creating jpegs with something like paintbrush.

LOL, BOOT - I don't smoke at all and never have!  The Marlboros just happened to be near where "Boddington" was sitting at the time...  :)  I was quite surprised that smoking was allowed at all in the Con Room, after last year when people had to go outside.... all the passive smoking has left me quite chesty...

XOXOXO BOOT!  ;)
