There is not an organ system in the body that is not harmed by alcohol, alcohol is a carcinogen, alcohol is physically addictive, alcohol causes many automobile accidents, alcohol causes birth defects and miscarriages, broken homes, I could go on . Yes ETOH is more harmfull than pot. And I drink it . Smoking anything is harmfull to the lungs.

Gentlemen,

Moderation in ALL things. :_)

My Grandmother said for years that no one under 50 should be allowed to drink. I'm begining to see her point.

Actually my fav drug is a good book.
A: I can turn its effects off if needed.
B: Can use it virtually anywhere, anytime, just need light.
C: No harmfull effects, may improve your vocabulary.
D: Can easily forget the world & all its/your troubles for 12-36 hours per book.
E: Supply's are readily available for reasonable prices, plus they have places where you can read for FREE!

years ago a freind told me a story about the major difference between weed and alcohol.

2 guys both stoned, one isn't watching where he's going and runs right into the second guy.  guy 2 looks up says 'hey' nods with a hello sorta grin. guy 1 says 'hey' in  Acknowledgement of the greeting and walks away.

2 guys both drunk, one isn't watching where he's going and runs right into the second guy.  guy 2 jumps up and says "HEY!!", puffing up his chest and leaning into guy 2.  guy 2 puffs up his chest, yells "HEY!!" and leans into guy 1. the situation progresses from there.

I have known many who drink beer, wine, even a vodka martini (shaken, not stirred) because the like the taste,  and like the way it complements a meal... I have never known any who smoke weed for any other reason than to get the special effects.

As I said in the thread about mandatory testing, I was just out drinking with some America West pilots, and they told me about this rastafarian pilot for a Jamacia based airline, who....

I'd rather masterbate or do the wildthing for real. Thats alot more fun than smoking weed. Drinking and masterbation can be fun..but there are hazards. Sex and drinking can be fun..but thier are hazards. I cant picture 2 stoned people going at it but I did meet a chick in the back seat who told me the wacky weed makes her horny. Life was good then, still is actualy. What am I trying to say....beats me. I just like typing stuff.

Any form of sex is mentality addictive. Once you've had it... your screwed...

Of course, I only see what he posts here and what he does in the MA.  I know virtually nothing about the man.  I think its important for people to realize that we don't really know squat about each other.... definately not enough to use words like "hate".

Pot is very very bad.  Why else would it be illegal?

Alcohol is very good for you.  Why else would it be legal?

Hope this answers your question.

I used to love smoking pot, now all it does is give me headaches needless to say I stopped smoking it.  I think ingesting it would probably not give me a problem since my problems are sinus related.  It's illegal for some reason, though it has medical benefits.  Alcohol is good in moderation and there are more deaths due to it by abuse.  I don't know what I'm really trying to say, prolly to each there own.

moderation is allways good.   abstinance is the only workable solution for those who fail to realize this.

there are plenty of functional alcoholics and functional druggies out there... they are 99% young... as they age they lose the ability to function and their tolerance goes up while their body breaks down..   Most/all habitual users of drugs (including alcohol) are lying to themselves and everyone else...   Lying is probly not good for your self esteem.... admitting you are an addict is not good for your self esteem.

When the addict is young he get's around this by bragging about how well he functions with large (addict size) doses of drugs on a daily basis.  As he ages he makes excuses instead of bragging.
