actually this game rules in the graphics department.. even from altitude.

it required a GeForce3 or better to really use these new graphic features though.

Its definately less of a glaring issue than it was.  I always liked the tree effect (from the air) and could not believe how badly the water ruined the landscape.

It looks like things may not be as bad in that dept anymore.

My only complaint is that they do not use any anti-aliasing at all when making those screenies.  I would like to see what the game looks like with AA on.

of course, that might be too much for the hardware to handle.  ;)

I don't have Il-2.  AH gives me my multiplayer sim fix and I'm not into the single player thing that much, nor am I overly interested in the Eastern Front.  If it was Western Front. Med or Pac, I'd be more interested.  Yes, I tried the demo way back when and was impressed by everything.  Just not my cup o' tea for the campaign.

I do not understand why people want to see those screenshots in FSAA... if you've seen one game with FSAA, you've seen 'em all.

Here's a new screenshot of a P40 over the harbor.. the water looks much better at those alts than it does in Il2.
