There are some decent ones, most didn't catch on because they suck.  For instance miller beer is not particularly good, but it is not purchased based on the quality of its taste, so marketing execs should not be (but invariably are) suprised when non alcoholic versions of crappy tasting beer do not sell well.  O'Dooles and Sharps are in that category.

I've had Kaliber (made by Guiness) and it's actually pretty good.

What a popsicle.
IMHO that admission should be grounds for excommunication from the FDBs.

The only near beer I drink is Miller Lite :) Whatever you do, don't let it get even remotely warm.

Well Bounder, various relatives have it in constant stock and free beer improves the taste of bad beer dramatically.

back in the day I knew some people that did the ole' grab a case a beer anf run out of a convient store.

Well 4 knuckle heads (oldest was 15) ran out with 4 cases of O'Dooles.

They were all stoked and braggin about the beer party they were gonna have. That was until someone pointed out that O'Dooles was non-alcoholic.

That was the same night I had a mickeys big mouth back when they still had the rip top. I cut my thumb up opening one and as I finished it we were parked in DC near where the FBI building is (it was under construction then) waiting to go to a show at the 9:30 club. Well I drank it throw the bottle out the window and it hit the wall of a building bounced back and knocked the toejame out of me. My eye swelled like a baseball. It must have hit on the bottom of the bottle.

After that a said f'it and only drank bumpers of black label and thunderbird wine.

Ah the good ole' days.........
