Not exactly the brightest bulbs in the package...

Granted, they are good at sneak attacks on civilians, and gutless, no-balls attacks with suicide bombs(like who couldn't do such a easy tactic if willing), but this article is just another in a series that says we're not dealing with those master mind evil guys you read about in comic books ;)

What for? At this rate, they'll effectively eliminate themselves from the human race with no help from anyone but themselves! :D

These guys were very bright... for about 2 milliseconds.

A lot of would-be bombers end up blowing themselves up.  It could be that counter-terror teams have figured out how to detonate bombs remotely.  Many of the bombers use cell phones to trigger the bombs, so it is possible that the counter-terror teams have a way to trigger all cellphones within a certain radius, thus triggering bombs prematurely.  Same could be true for radio controlled triggers.

We can only hope that the extra funding the CIA is getting from this adminstration is somehow money well spent! ;)

From what I have been told and read most of the car bombs in the past had a radio receiver with them as well. That would allow someone to blow the car in case the driver decided not to go through with it or something else happened. I also have heard through various sources that the US military developed a radio transmitter that would send out signals on the same frequency as those "back-up" detonators. This was to keep terrorists from attacking embassy buildings and other areas where US citizens lived and worked overseas. I can see that this might be true but I can also see it as a fabrication on many parts. Although I would think that in our politically correct world of let the other guy get the first shot in we would not deploy something like that. But if I had it to use and was in a position to use it you can make damn sure there would be several pieces of terrorists and bomb material flying through the air because of a device like that.
