They never left Shane, they've always been there.  Complete with all thier lack of responsibility and accountability.

Got muted the other day for telling a handsomehunk 109 that he was a handsomehunk 109.  The 109 is dancing with a couple friendly fighters, and I guess he thought he was about to die (looked to me he had the advantage on the friendlies) and he decided to take an il2 with him.  Attacked a gv, got the kill, 109 shreds me, gets shredded by a friendly that the 109 had the advantage over.  That's a handsomehunk 109.

not only should you be muted but your plane should be thrown into auto pilot, nice and level, for the duration of the mute :)

so, like,  chit, fug, dayum, beech, sheet, arse, goll durn, WTF, FUBAR etc etc  are all, like....

bad?  offensive? mutable offenses?  how about vox? i can only imagine what goes unmonitored on vox.

even the meekest masked vulgarity is still mentally converted by people - does that make it any less "offensive" ?  what about hell? or hellfire, or even hellgod(desses) hmmmmmm?

how about different languages?

context is also relevant, no?

i know, i know....  just sayin'..... yanno?

"vulgarity is the first refuge of the mediocre."   :D

but there are times when it's a mere expression of frustration or slef-lambasting, like, "oh fug, lawndarted again!"

such a messy and confusing path, confounded with a peculiar filter and pecunious "cops."
Surrounded by suck and underwhelmed with mediocrity.

moose and flosy bitme:)

I see the that the adation of the smily face was not, appricated:)

"Masking vulgarity by mispelling doesn't make it any less offensive.... sorry"

Well Of course not thats why I said this:

" I can see why it could be a muting offese i realy dont have a problem with that I do Have a problem with being Muted for saying Bite me after I got the Warning though, once for spelling it bitme, and agin for Bite me, prety freaking lame. Note the smily faces, which were present when I sent it out on chanel 1."

I think that saying bitme was mearly a pun since it was punctuated with a :), but this advanced since of levity was aparently lost in the moment.

The only reasion I have made a point of this is to examplfy the absuradity of it all, after all this sort of abravation occures all the time, granted it is offensve and nead not be a part of the game if it can be helped, howeaver bitme:) is not imp offensive and if some moderator cant take a joke than perhaps the moderator nead montering, I HAVE NEVER BEEN MUTED IN OVER TWO years of playin AH and I am a little ticked than you.

Brady, you are lucky it wasn't me you said byte me to after a mute.

You would no longer be with us.

Look at the situation clearly, you said somthing that is NOT exceptible, now your complaining about getting a mute for none exceptible behavior. Then you tell the monitor to go take a hike you don't like his rules, (Is that a fair translation of byte me?) .

You are way off base on this one.

My language stays pretty clean just out of habit, but I don't have too much trouble with what people type.  That is pretty easy to not look at, channel 1 gets squelched as SOP anyway.  (Frankly, you see worse in the newspaper and on television)

Now if only voice channel was squlechable.  That is not so easy to ignore.  Sometimes we don't need some stuff coming out of our speakers for those around near to hear.

let the owners of the product control it

its a priviledge to play, not a right - you pay $15 for the priviledge, that's only if you follow the rules YOU agreeded to when you signed up.

if you can't control what you type, you have a problem

as for vox, it's muted 99% of time for me - all I need is the "check 6" call

I was serious about the auto pilot, let they die and maybe they'll show some self control

Brady seems to lose sight of the fact there are new players joining us all the time. Most of them are intelligent and mature individuals, and his need to be offensive and try to get a lot of attention would not give a good impression of the game or the community.

I support the language filter, and to the moderators who are willing to help maintain a reasonable arena atmosphere.

Putting a smiley face after an offensive remarks makes it no less offensive.

Lack of accountability?  I think you mean lack of accountability to you.  They are still accountable to HTC.

Threads like this only serve to support the need for monitors in the arenas.
