Guys this one is SO simple.

Talk like your mom is sitting next to you.
Or if your mom is THAT bad, your grandmother.

Would you really talk like that if she was there listening? What you say on priv & squad channels is ok. But she see's everything else you say. Think about it.

Brady you took it like a man.

Skuzzy:Basically, it boils down to common sense, courtesy, and a modicum of respect. All these taken into account should answer any questions about this topic.

While were on the subject, I have a rotting horse carcass I'm going to drag out of the cellar....Can we please have the ability to squelch range vox? I'd rather look at the profanity in the buffer than listen to some of the drivel that goes on in range vox.

Maybe this is related to how VOX randomly mutes people :)

Is there a list of mute trigger words?  I'm not talking about all the possible mis-spellings as that would help people invent new misspellings, just the core words?  For example, would typing in "RV-6 owners are jealous of Harmon Rocket owners" get you muted, banned, or what?

What if you say "nibble me" to HiTech?  Does anyone still know what a nibble is?

If you're really pissed off you can say "Word me"?

Just wondering  :D

A nibble (or nybble) is half a byte, and *used* to be 4 bits back in the late 80's.  I don't know if it's still current terminology in basic computer courses.

So you'd actually have to say "nibble me twice" to trigger the bite me mute...
Everyone I know, goes away, in the end.

Having a term for a half byte only makes sense because it is a single hex digit. I don't think nibble has much other use in every day life than that.

All I have to say is this thread is entertaining.

I was muted for the first time not long ago.  Was in the CT, as always, I think 1 other guy was up in a 109, shot me down and I wrote 'dam squeak 109 got me!' on the country channel.  I dont even know why I wrote it.  Just to let off steam I guess.  Muted.  That got me even more steamed.  I think the most frustrating part was that nobody else was on.  Protecting me from myself.

Flossy, I dont know if you are one of the muters and are new, but the last time I flew in the ma (month or so ago) it was so full of fuk sh@t etc etc that I had to squelch 1 and 2 (not because the fake swearing was offensive, but the conversation was so full of whining and of poor quality whining at that).  Were all of those people squelched?  Seems strange...

nibble me.  I am gonna remember that one.

There are still four- and eight-bit microprocessors being used for low-end products where processing power requierments aren't needed.
