Here They Go Again

They must be geting desparate - they are starting a free 2 week trial thing.   However they are being tricky and will hit people up for money if they don't cancel in time.

I hope it works for em, competition is good.

What's really funny is that Iceman provides a link to a review of the boxed release of Warbirds and calls it "Warbirds FPA Good Ink."

Of course, the game scores a 57% in the review.  I'd hate to see Bad Ink.

Interesting, it looks like the ONLY PC game reviewed by that site that was less well thought of was "Rowan's Battle of Brittain" I'm guessing that these guys aren't exactly Sim Junkies.

All the same though, you're right, I wouldn't call that "good ink" lol.

I really hope they've fixed they "cancel account" feature.  There's going to be alot of pissed off people out there if they haven't.

Visuals 5/10

The ONLY new thing that iEN did to make WB2.xx into WBIII... and they didn't even pull THAT off....

I still don't understand how people can stand by iEN's side and sing their praise... I guess they are just a glutton for deceit and punishment.

I had my share of account problems with them as well.  They charged me for 3 accounts when I only created one and it took a phone call from my credit card to explain to them that I wanted to cancel.

So, we have to surrender a credit card number just to try a free trial?  Hmmm.

Is anyone else contributing to that cluster or just me?

I got a double answer on the last post by two IEN employees.

I bet they will get in trouble with the 'captain' of their ship (the titanic) for dealing with warbirds people instead of whatever other game they are supposed to be working on.

why do people pay them?? nostalgia?

going to read the review, thanks for the link =)

couple of excerpts:

There were a lot of bad features, but if they read this review or I email them about suggestions they might make this an awesome game.

Well, you must be a fan of these kind of games, you will need a flight simulator joy pad to play, like this game pissed me off, you NEED a flight simulator pad, it’s a need not a necessity.

Half way into the game I would get really pissed off when I cant change the controls but want to because they do not fit to my liking. Another thing that I found was annoying was when I was playing online and I didn’t see the talk command on the help screen! So when I was flying and I wanted to know how the heck I do something and maybe get a little bit of advice from the veterans in this game I was forced to press all of the buttons, and I accidentally pressed the eject button which got me angry.
