"Doesn't even matter if yoy're not flying cv capable planes"

What kinda country would not have carriers in WWII??   That would really be dumb.   They would have to be very backward.  Heck... They would probly have lousy planes with short range only capability and no heavy bombers and ..  oh, wait.... Nevermind.

ND Isles is a favorite here as well.  Mostly because of the ability to actually use CV's.  Naval battles are severely limited in most other maps.  It provides a good deal of low level furballin' especially when a CV is off the coast or when A1 and A5 are owned by opposite sides.  Strategic bombing has a purpose in this map, although I very rarely fly bombers (once per month, avg).  With a bomber or two, it is possible to actually degrade the warfighting ability of another side without having to actually capture a base.  Fighting is also more intense when it comes to defending "your island."  The only drawback is that it is far too easy for two sides to fight a third with 2:1 odds.  Still its not quite as bad as the Lake Ute map in this respect.

Well I like it for some reasons but for others I do not like it. I like the fact that you are "forced" to use more CV planes than the other maps. While on the other hand when I am in my favorite rides (Fw-190F-8, 190A-5 or C205) you are seriously limited in range. That is if you have to fly over water to reach a base with sufficient altitude.

Then most of my squadron mates (Kratzer is one of them) don't really care for it. So that makes it tough to find wingmen to fly with that know your moves and vice versa. Also it depends on my mood of the time if I really like it or not..... :D Like how many times I have runway deaths due to that bug.

NDISLEs has more options for attack and not the same obvious routes for capturing fields.  It also has furball island in the middle so the furballers don't have far to fly as long as all 3 countries have a field there.

It does seem a little small with the increased numbers in the MA though and typically if the SE country gets pushed into the corner then it deteriorates into stalemate for days on end.

On a scale of 1 - 5
5 being Heaven & 1 being Hell.

Ndisles = 4
Baltic  = 4

S!

I kinda like the Isles.  Lots of CV action.  Although it does tend to provoke big furballs in one location.

I think that the problem with NDisles is faults in base locations. North country is NEVER conquered, South-Eastern country is just about ALWAYS conquered. If the weekest country of the tour happens to be at north, it can defend it easily while stronger countries can also defend the worse areas... fight lasts much longer.

This same problem exists at Mindanao. West country is a fortress. it is either NE or SE that gets resetted.

Bases should be placed so that there are no obvious week spots and no obvious strong spots... or at least so that there are equal amount of both for each country. I dont particularly like CVs but they can sometimes even out some of those spots.... if the ack was only made more reasonable.

haha.  Well, if you open the canopy and fart hard enough and long enough over enemy territory you might get accused of bio-warfare.
