I hear this term mentioned a lot in boxed sims...what does this mean?  Do we have it in AH ?

Padlock view locks your view to one target, if that target gets behind you your trying to fly a plane while looking backwards. If there is a second plane in the area you have NO idea what or where or what he's doing because your view is locked to the first plane. Key commands can be found on the htc help site.

Padlock view is in AH, but I don't recomend useing it.

I think the number of people who are successful using Padlock view are very few.  For all it helps in tracking a single target, it gives up even more in situational awareness.  I would think using it would be almost suicidal most of the time.

I tried it offline once, you need to map the keys, and it was effective in tracking a target, but let to terrible tunnel vision.

Look at padlock as if you turned your head after the plane. I dont agree with earlier statements you can be very successful using padlock givel your SA is good.

I use it all the time in dogfights and it works very well. I would say that it is about getting used to it.
