Favorite Jabo Ride?
« on: November 07, 2002, 09:02:49 PM »
I'm interested in what your favorite (favourite for Flossy) jabo ride is and what load out you like?

Mines the F4UD with 2 1000#'ers, 8 rockets, and 100% fuel.

Thanks.

P38L is best imo, I play for Rank and I find it suits my neads in the atack catarory best, espichaly since the bomb weight in pounds does not apear to match the Metric weight in pounds.

P38 is good because it can pack all that ordance to target easly and quickly, it does not strugal like the P47D.

The focused fire power of the 50cal, is awsome, and it has a hispano for those quick kills.

Handeling is way better for Vulching compared to the P47D-30 imo.

While the Bf 110 acturaly caries enught weight in bombs to kill a Hanger the metric/pounds issue keeps it from compeating.

P-38L all the way.

NOTHING climbs as well heavily loaded.  Once ord is away, those .50's last forever with the heavy gun loadout.  Nothing can get as much ordnance into a target faster, loiter in the middle of the fight as long, and then leave even with severe damage.

Typhoon. with 2 1k. I like to get away on the deck And I like the ease of extra strafing kills with the 4 hispano. Also quite a tough bird vs ground fire.

Typhoon , Is my ride for any V-Base target, I take just the rockets, one pass and the base is ready for capture, She is fast and tough, a nice ride, I have a lot of time in but not to many kills, since It works so well at killing the V base:)

ponyD.  i've done quite well with it and it's well suited to fighting after the ord is gone.

depends on the situation.  If I want to level a town all by my lonesome, you can't beat the 110G2.  If I just want to drop a hangar or two and then start vulching/capping, Jug 30 all the way.  From a carrier, I have to go with the F6F, 2x1000, 6 rocks, 75% gas.

And of course, when I just really want to confuse the Attack category, La7 with two of those little dinky bombs. :D

F6F fully loaded - can fight it's way to target, deack field with ord onboard, survive several ack hits, has onboard "Vulch-O-Matic" agility enhancer, and has no stabilityproblems in a fast dive.

Mine are:

Tempest. It climbs just as well as a 38 (albeit without rockets) but is a better fighter once it has droped it's eggs.

The 38 for a non perk med alt jabo.

Typh for NOE.
