Tempest. It climbs just as well as a 38 (albeit without rockets) but is a better fighter once it has droped it's eggs.

LOL a thyp is without ammo any second.  It turns good but only a few corners than it flys like crap.

The P38 is a much better dogfighter unless the typh isn't going for a headon, the lightning will always bite it's tail. The thypoon is absolutely worthless in slow stall fights.

But u can runaway better with the thypoon since the Jabo mostly ends up low.
But on the other hand a p38 will be better to vulch bnz or cap the base.

Just my experience :)

Mosquito FB.Mk VI

Lots of firepower and four 500lb bombs to distribute all while remaining pretty fast.

Sheesh! P-38 dweebs! Don't you know that the P-38 sux? The Mustang and Jug were waaay better. Besides, the Mustang won the war for the allies. If it weren't for the P-51 we'd all be speaking German right now.

And you're all wrong...best jabo is the 202.  :D

Has to be the Mossie... :D

And like my partner DoubleTrouble says... The 38's a sissy JABO junior compared to the Mossie and 202. ;)

Most powerful Jabo: 110G
Now if the mossie wasn't  made out of paper jelly and petroleum it would be my favourite. Gets you to the target really fast and packs a formidable punch.
The F4U is also quite good, - good roll rate makes jobs like deacking easier, - which brings one to the 190, now that is a jabo as well, we just need the 190F corrected a bit.
P38 carries a lot and is a capable fighter, but I always compress the darned thing:(
Favourite Jabo? Dunno, - fly them all
It was very interesting to carry out the flight trials at Rechlin with the Spitfire and the Hurricane. Both types are very simple to fly compared to our aircraft, and childishly easy to take-off and land. (Werner Mölders)

P-38L

Wonder Ord, good gun package with lots of ammo, manueverable, climbs to dive bomb alt rapidly, and that second engine is nice after you get the inevitable "wonder ack" ping which always hits the engine oil.

Typhoon, I have the most success getting back after a bomb run.

The N1K2-J for me after you drop your 2 little 250 bombs and blow up a few bldgs. You can hose down planes trying to take off to intercept you and fly merrily home and brag to your friends about how your were outnumbered 5 to 1 and got all of them.:)
