English is Haaaaard!

and Rated the most difficult language to learn... here is why:

The bandage was wound round the wound.
The farm was used to produce produce.
The dump was so full it had to refuse refuse.
He could lead if he could get the lead out.
The soldier decided to desert his dessert in the desert.
I painted a bass on the bass drum.
The dove dove in the bushes.
I didn't object to the object.
The insurance was invalid for the invalid.
The oarsmen had a row about how to row.
I was too close to the door to close it.
The buck does funny things with does.

Heh...it's hard because we can have words that are spelled the same but mean things totally different. Some other languages have a different word for each meaning.

Someone new to English could say "I blue the airplane up." and believe they're saying it right, as it sounds right. We native English speakers know what they're supposed to mean but laugh at their mistake.
