By popular demand, a war sim enthusiasts' rendez-vous is to be held in London before Christmas. All are invited. We will meet in the Shepherd Tavern in Mayfair, traditional venue for hosting this kind of event. No costs, other than what you eat and drink.

Post in this thread if you would be interested. It will be held midweek, probably in the week commencing Monday 2nd Dec., or the week after.

This topic is also referenced on the AGW/WB3 board.

Here's a picture I took at the last one - everyone whooping it up...

On a side note, the reason for using the Shepherds Tavern is that during WWII it was the unofficial mess for Pilots on leave in London.

On a previous visit a woman in her late 70's regaled us with stories of drunken parties and hi jinks carried out by same pilots, also under a layer of wall paper on the ceiling are alledgedly the signatures etc of those pilots that visited, very similar to the Pub (forget the name) in Cambridge town centre that is covered in American pilots signatures, mottos etc.

It's an interesting place to meet, not far from Park Lane.

Sorry - I've been away on a Bridge course. Just got back a couple of hours ago.

Let's make it Wednesday 11th December. That should give people enough notice, without getting too close to Christmas.
