Just downloaded the game a week ago and am having a blast. Wanted to know though is there anyway I can change or set  the convergence point of my weapons fire? Or is this fixed?

Yes Torvald, while in the hangar there is a button that says set convergence. Press this then mouse drag the convergence point to your desired range. Welcome aboard and :)
