Just a complaint
« on: November 18, 2002, 12:32:46 PM »
Hi guys,

I dont usually post here and I dont usually complain but I have to say this.

If you are camping in a town after you have bailed while guys are trying to kill the town....PLEASE get out of there.  Walk to the hillside or something

"heheh you died but at least I didnt get captured"

The killshooters do hurt and take away the fun, especially when everyone was trying to take that base.

You know who you are and believe you me.....no help will be rendered when you ever ask for it.

OK enough on the ranting.....LETS GET SOME!!!!!!!

ok so your whining about ejecters camping in town and you flyers getting shot up because you accidently pinged them????

how about they just hide in the rubble of broken bases or wait outside the map room until the 9th goon goes in then enter and take the base themselves :-)

No not accidently pinged them.....the guy camped in there for two runs and taunted guys as they tried to kill town.   Accident is one thing.....camping to prevent capture is another.  My two cents.

Can you really capture a town that way?

No you cant.

But I am a little confused about what happened in this instance.  Are you saying a friendly bailed and hid in the town to prevent capture by letting himself get pinged and killshooting the attackers?  Or that an enemy bailed and sat in the town while you were attacking it?  And if this is the case, how does that prevent you from capturing it?

Sling,
The guy was a friendly "hiding" in the town....we could all see him but he stayed anyway and when we were trying to destroy it he would not leave his position.  Thus Killshooter was in effect and several pilots died because of that behavior.  Its ok if its an accident and you just landed there but for pete's sake get the hell out of there.  To save your hide and wait for the base to get captured and allowing guys to get killshot so you avoid a "capture" is poor sportsmanship and really annoying when you take the time to go and do your "mission" only to have an idiot spoil it for you.

thats what i think he's saying...a friendly didnt want you to capture the enemy base (possibly for vulching) so he stood in the town and when his countrymen tried to straffe it, they hit him, in turn killshooter.
And an ARSE for a "teammate"
 fuggin weetauded!!!

so when a side is down to 2 bases you have 2 "volunteers" change sides and parachute into the towns and defend the towns with the infamous "killshooter" to stop the reset.

what a great defense, brilliant,  but it could end 'killshooter" as we know it

You'd have to be damn lucky to straff a chute you cant see "hiding".  Or unlucky depending on which way you look at it.

Now bombs.....they'd do it alright, blast radius is bound to hit the chute, killshooter does the rest.

sounds to me like if you wanted to slow down the destrction of a city you could defect to the country of the attackers, bail out over city & whenever attackers (now countrymen) bombed, they would die due to killshooter.
I see how this could suck real fast, & is another good reason for personna non grata (no ammo, cause ya killed countrymen). Of course anyone who actually did this would be considered quite offensive & would largely be considered a person who needs a real life........
