Audigy 2
« on: November 19, 2002, 08:20:12 AM »
Hail All,

I was thinking of upgrading my Sound Card to an Audigy 2 ( generic SB card now ). I heard it could increase fps, though I am planning to record my old vinyl to cds also. I'm trying to nurse this box into next year. I'm hoping to keep playability up by adding quality periphs.  Any comments?
( Video card will be changed come income tax time next year ).

Generic SB Sound card

Thanks in Advance!

Hiyas

I may be wrong...but I think the audigy goes into an AMR slot.  AMR = audio modem riser.  If you're not sure if your system has one.....best option is to get the SoundBlaster Live 5.1 Card...great card!  I have it and works very very well!  It also has the standard midi port for gameport (joysticks that aren't USB)

Hope this helped

Audigy goes into a PCI slot.  No worries on the AMR thingy
