This weekend I had the pleasure of being invited to join the midway frame as Allied(VF-6).......was fun flyin with a different group of gents and seeing 30k + jap junk......opss Zero's.
Our mission was to protect and shot down any bombers heading to our CV's.....Air Boss said NO NO on shootin down jap junk(zero)
but so many showed up.....I had to shot at least 1
too make up for shootin down a junk machine...I proceeded to shot down at least 1 jap bomber(TBM)
to the RCAF 418 "Hornets"....Thx guys
...was really fun flyin with you guys.
