Iron Storm is pretty good. The whole what if WWI never ended theme is pretty cool. Some pretty interesting weapons and graphics are superb. But like someone mentioned its a very difficult single player game. Frustrating at times but at least you don't beat it the first day you buy it like some games.
BF1942 has its good with its bad points. The aircraft flight controls and characteristics are poor, but the rest of the vehicle game play makes it very enjoyable. Lots of vehicles, guns and roles to play.
Ghost recon is actually a really good first person shooter. It lacks some of the features like BF1942 but its gameplay is smoother and more realistic. Graphics are really good as well.
Conflict Dessert storm, bought this one and was pretty dissappointed. It is too arcade gamey like for me. I liked the concept of modern late war scenario but the graphics just killed it for me.
Soldier of Fortune II is a pretty hot multiplayer game nowadays but mostly with the younger crowd. The gameplay is decent. I just haven't given that one enough of my time to form a respectable opinion.
Well thats my 2 cents worth on some of the before mentioned titles, hope it helps. As always try to get your hands on a demo of the game your interested or buy from a software store that allows returns. Nothing worse than spending 50 bucks on something and only using it once or twice. Good Luck
