Setting up dual boot system.. suggestions?

Beetle,

Kind of you to reply. FYI, I don't get angry and I don't "hold grudges" over any BBS stuff. Ask Curval.

Your sig block is your business; it isn't hurting anyone. Do as you like. Sort of a trend in the way I view life.

As for all of the rest of the answers from all hands, thx. I'm reasonably competent on the hardware assembly end of this stuff, I'm just not really interested in (and thus much less competent) in the software department.

I don't keep up with what's new out there and often end up doing things the "old way" when there's something much better around.

Again, thanks. I'll beg again if I get stuck. Looks like it may be a week or two before I get to it now. Real life keeps popping in.

On the bright side, by then my old mobo and IBM HD will be back refurbished and I can put them in my son's system for and upgrade and hide the cost of a nice GeForce4 for me in the deal. My wife won't  complain if she thinks it's for him.  ;)

Rgr, Toad - any time. We can have a difference of opinion on one thing without falling out across the board. Anyway, the sig. block is just my thoughts, and I don't expect anyone to agree or disagree.

Well, like one's posts, a sig block let's other people form an impression of you. While the posts accumulate over time the sig is a quick snapshot that, while it supplies an impression, doesn't really give much depth or detail.

So, if that's the snapshot of your personality you wish to "advertise", far be it from me to judge. It's your choice. Sig what you like, like what you sig.

Although I think you need to really reflect on the oft repeated wisdom that you attribute to Tomato in that sig block. If you can read it from way down there.... hit water yet?

:D

beet1e, its not the content of your sig. I dont ever bother to read it.
Its the fact that its TOO FUGGING BIG. It may not be a problem to you but some people have to browse in lower resolutions and your signature takes the space of a whole browser window.

It adds ABSOLUTELY NOTHING in content to threads and it detracts, its annoying and its distracting when you are trying to scan a thread. I already know what it says since you made it, so why do you feel the need to keep bothering everyone, every time you make a post wich is a fraction the size of your sig?

And worse of all, its there on a single thread, again and again and again every time you post. So now we have a repetition of the same long annoying wall of text every other post.

Its even worse than listening to the same stupid political comercial over and over again on the radio.

I know that you love your sig and you stubbornly keep it as some sort of statement, but to some of us it doesnt matter what you think, just stop superimposing it in our screens a hundred times every day.
