Sorry. Footage is deleted. I'm interested in the crashes, but the unecessary music does make the footage gruesome.

40shades it happens because the shockwaves lower the air pressure, which causes the moisture in the air to condense. The aircraft doesn't have to be supersonic for it to happen, just transonic (what flight simmers called "compressing").

With the exception of the first 2 'clips', can someone explain to me the difference in total lack of tact between this movie and, say, clips of pedestrians being hit by cars?

Anyone who finds some sense of 'wonder' or 'gee that's cool' from watching some pilot in the last 3 seconds of his life needs to spend a year working in a hospital emergency room.

Just my opinion. I don't find movies of pilots (or anyone for that matter) getting killed to be 'fascinating'.

Agree 100% wulfie.

It's like the much hyped movie showing a Russian soldier's throat being cut by Chechyan rebels. I've never seen, and never want to see it - yet people are 'fascinated' by it. That was someone's son, brother or father, FFS.

I'm sure they are delighted in seeing the last moments of their loved ones paraded over the net like some freak's gallery. And it's not those 'featured' in the films I refer to as freaks, BTW.

You have a point there, wulfie. I can't even stand to watch the spate of "Real Video" on TV- you know, the ones where skateboarding kids have their legs folded in half. Heck, even Monday Night Football's rather innocuous Koy Detmer accordian elbow made me uncomfortable.

I'm with wulfie here,

I'm sure most of the fatal crash clips are ok to see it for studying
or how to say "Research on accidents" and what went wrong.

But not in combination with all the clips togheter and the Background Music, that is really sick.

seeing 2 jumbo planes crash in 2 diff buildings was ABSOLUTELY TRULY FASCINATING!!!!

yet i don't agree with it...but damn did i watch it!!!!!

Yeah let me be clear (to Gunthr): I wasn't talking about you. The fact that the guy put the music to it, etc. That's what I was talking about.

I've watched lots of footage of crashes - to find out what really happened. It was to know the truth. Not to enjoy.

Dowding: That 'throat slitting' video is widely mis-IDd. What was on the internet is about 25% of the actual video.

That video the guy was a rapist in a rural area. The people who lived around the girl he raped wound up catching him. I don't even recall if he was a Russian soldier - if memory serves he wasn't.

What's been removed from the video are the people of the town all around him at the time of his 'execution', some important dialogue, etc.

Don't get me wrong - there have been many tapings of attrocities commited by Chechen (and other) terrorists (I consider the freedom fighters to be the ones who aren't butchering prisoners on tape for $$$ or propoganda purposes), but that one tape isn't what people usually think it is.

it's human nature to be fascinated by things we don't often see.. I.E. carnage

music just enhances the mode of watching something interesting.......

didn't any of you ever watch a race on tv.......

after the race they put in sequence all the accidents that happened.....usually music behind it!!!!!

OMG guess i'm gonna stop watching races.....

so it's cool if we play "bring on the clowns" while watching you self-destruct on tape ?
