An even simpler request for Pyro/HT
« on: November 28, 2002, 08:34:27 PM »
We have a good plane set going now, what are the chances of getting different variants of the ones that only have 1 plane?  Case in point.

Ju-88 A4.  I can't even list all the variants but it would be cool to have more of them to choose from, even buff killers would be awesome.
Mossie.  Same as above for the Ju88 we need more versions of this bird.
Il-2.  Same as above so many to model would be nice to have.
Ki-61.
The list can go on so what ya think?

if varients took less time to produce than a new aircraft it would certainly be good to see them added but if it takes the same time to develop varients as it does to make new planes id rather see new types myself.

Id rather see some crazy types added like the fairey swordfish or cr 42 or some other aircraft that would take a dedicated fan to fly :)

I must say id like to see some of the real rare types like polish PZL P-24g or the french Arsenal VG-33 but obviously after we fill out the set with the more common ones like stukas and b24s etc :)

hell i dont ask for much do i lol :)

hazed,

HTC has stated that varients take a lot less work to add.

What does the P-47D-22 or P-47D-23 bring to the table?  This is an honest question as I've seen it requested several times, yet have no idea what the differences are.

Nothing but notoriety really. Th D23 variants were the last razorbacks.

The P-47M however would bring us a high alt 500 MPH monster that climbs at 4K fpm.

ok if its varients we talking heres my choices:

190a8 R8 sturmbock , heavily armoured (and 440lbs heavier :()version for anti bomber role.It had nearly double the armour of the normal 190a8

Ju88G6 nightfighter version with a deadly compliment of 20mms in the nose which could make quite nice anti-bomber aircrraft in AH.

190A1 which would allow the use of 190's in scenarios that coincide with the time of the 190's arrival in the war.Id also like to see how much better these early versions were vs RAF planes of the same timeperiod.

Spitfire XII as a later version of the spitfire but non perked.I think its only fair that RAF players get a more modern version of the spitfire to use without the severe perk costs.

B17E  or earlier version without the front gun turret which puts them at a disadvantage in HO attacks( favoured by the germans until the G version arrived). As it is the b17g is often substituted in scenarios for earlier versions and it has a distinct advantage in defence.Id like to see a version with a weak spot :)

P40 F/G/H or whatever version was the last to be introduced. Any improvement in performance would be gratefully recieved :)

Im not sure which version was the fastest but whatever one it is id like to see the fastest Mosquito to see service.

P47M after reading much about this aircraft and this particular version I to would like to see it added. It did see action and a fair amount were produced so theres no reason not to include it.Even perking would be questionable considering its extensive use.

P38 A/B/C/D/E/F/G whatever version was most extensively used in the early days of its introduction.Id like to see an early version instead of the late one we have.Another p38 version is long overdue i think :)

thats about all i can think of off the top of my head :)
