Voice-Comm stutter/loops
« on: November 29, 2002, 08:43:45 AM »
Posted this also in the Hardware-Software forum, but got no replies...

Hi!

I have the problem that I can use the built in Voice-Com with AH, but it causes stutters or loops at the end of everything I transmit to others.

I can hear everyone else quite well, but others hear me with sound-loops at the end.

Except that it works really well!

My specs:

OS: Win98se, latest drivers (I think).
MB: Via KT133a
CPU: Athlon 1.2GHz
RAM: 384MB (or there about)
GC: Gf3Ti200 w/ 64MB Ram

I'm using the on-board-soundcard. Via has drivers for it, I use them. Other recording (with windows-recorder) works ok.

Any ideas?

Thx!

Serious gamers would disable the onboard sound within the first
10 minutes of setting up a new computer... SBlive or similar would be the choice... Onboard sound chips just dont perform and the software that comes with them is inadequate...

The sound on that board blows, get a newer card,  turtlebeach or SBlive.  run you about 40 $
