Some Jewish guy is demanding that we call a christmas tree and holiday tree.

ok someone fill me in, wasn't christmas the celebration of Christ?

So why is it wrong for a tree that is used for decoration at the time of Christmas, to be called a Christmas tree.

Some people make me wonder ya know.

Chistmas has turned into more then a celebration of the birth of Jesus.  Remember before it was Christmas it was a heathen celebration of the winter solstice and the coming of spring.

It's a celebration of the invention of credit cards now.

Put up the MasterCard tree! Put out a "birth of Visa" scene on the front yard! Have Jerry Seinfeld with eight tiny American Express cards on your roof!

Get out there and consume!
If ye love wealth better than liberty, the tranquility of servitude than the animated contest of freedom, go from us in peace. We ask not your counsels or arms. Crouch down and lick the hands which feed you. May your chains sit lightly upon you, and may posterity forget that you were our countrymen!

thank you Thrawn.. you're right.. CHRISTMAS has nothing to do with Christ.. it was called Saturnalia.. a pagan party.. a lot like Mardi-Gras.. drinking..whoring.. all the good stuff..  Christ wasn't even BORN IN DECEMBER.(historians say either May or June).its the greatest marketing scheme of all history. the church figured that since people were partying big time on that day, might as well add Christ and it was morphed into what we have today. even today so many buy the whole 'Christ was born on Christmas Day' story.. I grimmace each time I hear someone spew this utter crap, cause they were fed it as children.. NO.. Christ wasn't born in Dec.. No He wasn't White..NO..christmas carols AREN'T history, they are entertainment.

ok..holiday rage over.
