Unfortunately I think that most of the people that win won't be the top pilots.  They will be people with two accounts on two computers and people who get their squadmates to help them.  But maybe I'm just cynical

This is supposed to be a community. Cash rewards ? I think it would not be long before folks not winning any would migrate elsewhere. Use the money to advance the game for everyone and not the few. If they need rewards, make them Generals or Admirals.
And why isn't there a reward for folks who run resupply runs or tankers or bombers ?

I picked a few random folks who are upset over this from this forum and from checking some of the scores it seems they fly la7s p51ds and nikis etc........ Calling others cheaters or blame them for making the game "arcadish" ...... Get a grip.....

If wanna participate go for it, if you dont well then dont but accusing folks of "cheating" because you cant messure up is rediculous.

I bet the cop out "I could do good to if I tried but I choose not to, I am above 'score'......" will be next.......

As me for I dont care either way..... If someone can win money having fun doin what they do great more power to umm.

I will have more fun gettin a few guys to get together to hunt the guys on the bubble.

If you riding number 12 13 14 or 15  its gonna be fun trying to set up back a few rank points.......

Apparently Wotan, you think anyone with "thoughts" or an "opinion" or a "point of view" of their own that's not exactly the same as yours is a clown. You must live in a very funny world of your own...

Yes I do think ranking is mostly "gaming the game". That's is of course my opinion, clownish as it may be. I personally don't care what you think, about anything. I do respect your right to voice your opinion on this BB however but don't expect the same from you.

Don't know if I could beat any of them 1 vs 1 but would be happy to try. It doesn't matter either way. I'm supposing you are talking about in fighters? Which is only a percentage of what makes them "top 15". Or will this be 1 vs 1 in bombing? jabo? GVs? boats?

I don't know how will MA evolve as a result of this measure, so my first take will be to see how it looks like.

One thing for certain, I will be more demanding as my on-line experience is concerned, and I will definitely look at scores. My money will not pay AH to guys I have zero respect for.

Namely Fester-like pilots as I do not want my money favouring guys who absolutely refuse to fight if they haven't got tons of advantage over victims, wether it is in terms of alt, numbers, or both. Neither will my money favour bishop-like playing, lemming-vulching bases with no skill to take it after some painful hours, even with overwhelming odds.

So, basically, this single measure makes me more sensitive about the quality of my AH experience, and I will be reacting accordingly as the situation evolves.

In principle, I dislike it, but let's wait and see.

The answer to the question is easy.

It will have virtually no effect, seeing as the prize money is only ever going to be available to something like the top 50 pilots out of the thousands who play.

To me you are offering personal attacks. When I pop up your kill stats from last tour ( not rank just the planes you flew and got kills in) we see la7 p51d and niki.

I hate to see part of my money go to vulching, gamey, kill stealing, point mongers who will/do ruin the game for others and make the MA more arcadish.

If you fly for rank or whatever its your choice but the asumption that those who "rank higher" then you
"cheat" and that a prize system that is available for anyone to win will be basically "stolen" is just BS.

Who ever wins good for them but it wont charge what I do much at all except as I stated above. I too believe theres only about 50 folks who have a chance at winning the big money. But so what good for them.

As you say, after I pay it's not my money anymore. But before this happens, I can positively decide wether I spend it or not, and my MA enjoyment will judge what's the case.

When I've paid It's not my money, but this not-my-money-anymore will be used to reward some people based on a scoring system who encourage, above all, easy killings. If it's used to reward the type of behaviour I depise more, and this reward ends in more of this behaviour in MA, then I will chose not to give my money to the one that is using it to promote such. Wether Htc's intention is to deliberately promote this behaviour or dweebs, kill stealers or "wise-no-risk-takers" are a side consequence, if this situation comes up, the result on my end will be the same: no joy. If I have no joy playing AH, then I'll pay no money. It will be my money.

I think its a complete stretch to conclude that the main can get any more gamey. I think the assumptions are completely wrong that the only way to have a higher rank is through "kill stealing, duel account vulching and general cheating".

Almost every kill stealer I have ran into in the main hasnt been a higher ranked player. Almost every "gamer" type I run into isnt a "ranked" player. At those fields where 25 guys are vulching  they are not all ranked players.

As matter of fact almost everything that is accused of those on the higher end of the rank scale I see 100 times worse on the lower end.

Some people fly for rank and to live or to just mix it up and have some fights. It makes no difference to me if HT desides to offer a prize to one group. Especially since it excludes no one.
