hmmm the poo-pond is awfully flat today...
« on: February 19, 2001, 07:59:00 PM »
Time to make waves :-)

Lets see the Anti-Chog regime has been awfully quiet lately, lets compare my favourite ride:

Typhoon IB 2739 Kills 2263 Deaths 1.2098 Ratio

Chog 15057 kills 10948 deaths 1.3752

Typhoon IB has 271 Kills of F4U-1C
F4U-1C has 252 Kills of Typhoon IB

So does this mean that although the Chog is one of the most popular it is by no means the most deadly?

Now imagine if AH was based on a 1942/43 planeset instead of 1944/45... the Typhoon would rule supreme!

Tiffie doesnt have ammo to spray nor fuel to roam.

That is its balance. I see a tiffie I know he will ACM me or HO me if he can, but he wont do a 9g turn knowing that he can spray and kill me at d800+ with one ping.

As of tonight:

4 planes actually have better than a 1:1 k/d vs the CHOG this tour.

I've always considered spraying to be linked to certain types of people, not certain types of planes.  I've seen folks spray in everything from Zekes to Yaks to Hogs to 38s.

That said, don't underestimate the turning prowess of the Typhoon.  Many folks are caught by surprise at just how well it'll make the initial turn or two.

Look at those TBM figures!

Silly observation vulcan. If the top 4 guys in typhoons where flying chogs. Their numbers would be higher and the typhoons would be nonexistant.
250 kills. poof.

err... Do you people know how to read a chart?

The higher the number, the WORSE the plane did against the F4U-1C.  That's the Hog's K/D ratio against that plane, not vice-versa.  Only a few planes like the 109G-2, 190A-5, Yak, and Typhoon have a greater than 1:1 K/D ratio against the cannon Hog.

If you already knew this, carry on.
