Hitech - question:
« on: December 04, 2002, 11:45:50 PM »
When you hit an M3 from <200 with a Panzer AP round, as the M3 passes opposite and parallel to the tank, if the AP shell's going just about perpendicular to both vehicles' directions, shouldn't the M3 change direction a bit?
I've only seen the conditions a few times, but hitting a plane in dead stall looks like bullet impacts register on the impacted plane's spin; just an impression? This is probably more complicated than the effect of GV projectile impacts, considering there's less calculation per time considering the ROF of large caliber turrets? Except if it's as complicated as modeling a plane crashing through a ground structure like a tower etc, is it feasible?

Will the next GV DM revision do something like this?

The planes are not effected.

Would have to run some numbers to see if a shell  could alter an m3's course, would depend a lot on what the shell hit, or if it just went passing threw it.
