If im in fightermode and hit a gv or ack or whatever, will those spent bullets count as "missed"?.

I have seen some people that dont wanna help de-ack a field because "it ruins their hit %"

This has gotten worse after the prize thingy, and id like to have the facts about it, cause i get mixed messages from folks.

if you hit a gv I believe your hit % vrs enemy is effected. In fighter mode there is no category for hit % vrs object.

Its my belief that strafing structures while in Fighter mode brings down your hit % vrs enemy. In attack mode there are 10 categories that make up your "Attack" rank. One of those in Hit% vrs objects.

So yes strafing objects (buildings ack etc) will reduce you hit % vrs enemy while in fighter mode.

However if you strafe gvs it registers and will be included in the Hit % vrs enemy category while in fighter mode.

For rank purposes it best to be in attack mode when hitting both. GV kills are not include in Fighter mode. Strafing structures in fighter mode brings down your hit %.

yup, but if you kill gv's in fighter mode, they will not be registered as kills just perkpoints so i fugured that "hit % vs enemys" would also be affected in a negative way.

In my dreamworld fightermode and attack mode would be "merged" to help stop the problem of guys not wanting to kill ack and GV's in fightermode.

Hit % vrs enemy will go up/down depending on how much you hit/miss the gv. All kills or destroyed structure in fighter/attack mode earn you "fighter" perks. Perks have nothing to do with the "rank" system.

Fighter and attack categories were "merged" we asked ht to change that. GVs are easy to kill. It would suck to have the highest ranking guy in fighter with 200 gvs kills and 2 plane kills.

Also it easy strafing buildings down and to earn huge points in damage per sortie category then when fighting a2a.

Folks wanted a true "Fighter Rank".

I know that rank and perks have nothing to do with eachother.

If people wanted fighter and attack modes, then so be it. I do find it dumb when people wont help with de-acking or attacking enemy gvs when in fightermode. It wasn't a big problem before, but with the intro. of the prize thingy it has become very annoying.

All though I would win 50$ if the tour was over now, I could care less. It's the teamplay that is suffering.

Your assumptions are wrong. there over 2000 folks ranked in the in ah. You are telling me they are all pre-occupied with rank over this contest that you cant find 1 guy to help you?

Some people when in fighter are tracking their fighter scores, not for this contest or rank, but to improve. Maybe the guy that wouldnt help you had this in mind. I type 1000 possibilities of why this would happen all moere plausible then worry over rank.

All this hysteria over how "bad" things have gotten is more in the heads of those complaining.

Wotan, im not wrong from what im seeing. I have never said anywhere that everyone is after rank. I have never ever said that i can't find anyone to help me de-ack either. I see a shift in lots of peoples priorities from helping out to thinking about their own hides.

Whatever you say, or how many times you roll your eyes you cant change what I see in MA and Im not alone. You may not care, and I dont care about the rank but alot of em do.

My assumtion is not wrong Wotan, you may not have noticed tha change yet but i bet you will when we get closer to the end of the tour.

Its called "mass-hysteria" and you are effected by it.

It happens quite often in this game. Some loudmouth whines about this or that and no matter how wrong they are 100 other folks pick it up.

I will tell you this after the annoncement of this event was made I was in the main. 1 guy started whining that a p51 was "running away because he was a score potato and just wanted to keep is score up".

As if p51s never ran before. Same with your post and Slapshots in the Gen Disc. forum. Why would folks who have no real chance of getting in the top 15 worry about 2 kills? Fighter rank is not what will get you in the top 15. 2 kills certainly wont make a bit of difference. Folks dont like to deack because they cant. Folk prior to this contest didnt like to deack.

So I can read your complaint just like the guy complaining about the p51 runner and see it for what it is. You have a pre-concieved idea about what the contest will mean. Then anything you see in the main that re-inforces you point to as "evidence".

90% of the guys I see dont help de-ack. So you say 1 guy didnt wanna help you de-ack. Well that proves nothing.

You see what you want to see.

Sorry Wotan, but all people are not pre-conceived just because you say so.

You do not have the last say on what does or does not happen in the MA.

If you dont see the changes that is fine i blive you, but that does not mean that I am wrong.

Be careful with calling people pre-conceived because they do not agree with you or share your ideas.

Kielsen, he had a point, I have not sean any beheaviour out of the ordanary, except maybe more people talking baout the rank issue, in game beheaviour seams about the same to me, like everything else life and the game are what u make of it how u look at it, attitud is everything, maybe that P51 was trying to stay high to keep his rank, but maybe he was always concerned about it, most all the top ranked players have always been the top ranked players, that hasent changed nor has their method of acheaving that end, the only thing is now people are noticing it more because HTC but it all under a spotlight.

Possible brady, but i still see what i see and not what i want to see. Several people in my squad, selector etc. have noticed the same.

Besides...being told by Wotan that I have pre-conceived ideas of what the contest will mean is BS, and he has nothing to back this up by.

First time anyone has implied that i am one, so ill just start to hail everything that is done in this game and never say anything that others wont like.
