Yup, my Cougar is setup to do just what Revvin describes.
Petals floating by,
      Drift through my woman's hand,
             As she remembers me-

Better still the Cougar has mechanical detents which you can move to suit your needs so the WEP stage even has a tactile indication of you being on WEP.

The saitek X45 can do it also, using XD-Profile.

Yup, I moved my detents to match my WEP position.

It's kind of tricky/annoying at first, but does let you do some cool tricks.  Anything in particular you need help with?
The documentation is iffy even to native english speakers, so it's not just you.

If you have a profile I can tweak to my own need it would be a great start for me :)

especially if you managed to code a cycle/toggle command

Heres the one I'm using currently.
It binds most of the buttons to dx buttons, with the exception of gear and dive flaps(gear you'll need to change, since i use the + on the keypad for it)

An error in programming will cause it.  It's easy to accidently set a button to press but never release, which will cause that.  (or set the hat, but forget to set the center of it)

After playing with it a bit in game, the wep script needs to be changed.

Change it to

WEP p^100 P

it adds a small delay to the onset of wep, so that the throttle can catch up.  Without it, fast throttle increases will sometimes miss triggering wep

Also you'll want to adjust your throttle deadzone in game so that it maxes at the second detent.
