First you will note the 101 Sqn Israel in the logs.  The 101 has been flying with the 56th FG for several months now in Sunday TOD.  This week they already had their squad formed up when I showed up late and their CO viff and I decided we would just keep our squads separate, but we would fly the same mission, as a single squad.  So we haven't done anything to alter the numbers by adding another LW squad to this TOD. :)

Our mission that we were given was a tough one.  Attack British fleet with Me 110s.  This we did, although some spitfires bounced us before we could get there.  We lost 2 110s and shot down 3 spits... with our bombs on. :D  We made it to the fleet and made our attack, losing all but 3 110s.  1 of them was unable to make it home due to damage, but the remaining 2, Vasco and Strange stayed up and capped 17 and 18, but no more enemy were seen.

56th FG claims one Brit CV sunk.  Vasco gets the credit for the kill.  WTG mate.

nice work Axis, we lost a CV but i think we made about 90% of our offensive objectives.

You hit the northern fleet hard, our CAP (WOD) was wiped out very early.  I was one of the 3 seafires that were scouting A17, shot down by a 110.

The Hornets did their job on A17, destroying all hangars, but got hit RTBing by your attack squads.

The 308 damaged A18 then rearmed, went back to hit it again but I diverted them to the low JU88s at A18.

The Vikings toasted A19, I think they hit some ammo though :(
They then rearmed and went to finish off A18. A18 had FHs down but must have had a BH and VH still up at the end.

The Airmag squad didn't turn up so we had very little cap down south. I had to ask some of our attack squads to CAP when they returned.

WTG 56th you did us proud.
In fact you all did better than i could have hoped for, i know our fields all got hit but with low numbers in some of the squads it  was a difficult task especially for 9Giap to accomplish their missions.

Hopefully the result does not handicap our war effort too much for the next CO.

Mag33 AAR

We scouted for CV's and found 2 close together, and jackpot no CAP anywhere to be seen.
Vectored in attackers before rtb and covered 18 with remains of 9Giap who were badly outnumbered around 19 area.
Engaged F4U's at 18 they died, we landed early when we took pity on Allies who were heard wailing and crying on RT :D
I believe after claiming they had 8 squadrons still airborne our spies were able to confirm only 2 airframes serviceable :)

Wtg AndyH i suspect you hit us hard good fight.

I rolled off the CV deck in the first attempt so i needed to relaunch. Faled to roll at the second time due to CV turns
Finally when CV finished with the turning i rolled with no problems. Got the heading and position of the rest so followed on the wep. Unfortunatelly was to late with a drop so i jetsonned the ordinance and joined formation (that was tactically escaping south after the drop). We had visual contact with 4 dots that were about 10k higher then us, so Suave ordered to head away from the danger, grab alt and provide protection to our CV. After all we rearmed and rolled again...
We spoted some lo cons. I'm identified them as a two formations of the Ju88's - 2x3 planes that is. I was ordered to attack. I killed one of them and damaged another two. Then wanted to join the squad, but got jumped by a 109. Escaped but after 2 mins saw no squaddies and a friendlie engaged by 2 109's so i decided to help him... he died and i was forced to retreat  I succesfully evaded two attacks and finally managed to hit the deck safetly. At the moment i saw Ramzeys bird icon... and a 190 who dived on me. I realised that i'm almost dead when he was 800y from me closing... i turned the engine off and did my favourite "last second" defensive move... he was too fast and did what i wanted - slowed down, but way to late :)  I went full throllte and fired at him... no result... those 2 109's got my sorry ass. When i realised they catched up and joined the party i had no E... started the rolling scisors and got damaged... few seconds lated got killed.

It was very enjoyable for me :) Big Both sides!
