I thought the car chase was pretty cool.

Who cares if it is plausible or realistic?  Come on, it is James Bond we are talking about.  This isn't Saving Private Ryan or Band of Brothers.  It is straight out action/fantasy/comedy/adventure all rolled into one.

Is it my fav Bond flick?  No, that would be Dr. No, followed by Thunderball, For Your Eyes Only, and The World is Not Enough.  It is good, not great.  I enjoyed it very much.

I like Brosnan as Bond, though he seems to run kind of weird.  He is, IMO, a mix of Connery and Moore.  Though it is a little more Moore than anyone else.

I would like to see the revival of SPECTRE as a Bond foe though.  Maybe revive Blofeld or something.  Could be kind of cool.

Oh well, I will sit back, pop in a 007 dvd, enjoy the fantasy, and relax.  That is the purpose of most movies.

You guys take movies far too seriously, Bond movies are meant to be unbelievable that is the fun of it. I don't read into the plot, I am just there to be taken away for a couple of hours.

The chic with the sword was HOT

There are only 3 movies in my life that I thought were aweful. And the only 3 I walked out on.

Shocker
Cool World
3D Jaws

As a BD-5 guy, I'm a little fond of Octopopsicle...course I only watch the first 10 mins of the movie (which has the BD-5 Jet) and then put it away.  Enjoy hearing from the pilot of the BD-5 tell how they did all the various visuals and stuff in the movie...like dragging a smoke bomb/rocket model with a wire to similulate a missile homing in on him   :)

He said they were going to have a lot more aircraft in this Bond movie, but the 9/11 restrictions on various aircraft made that impossible.

If you have an eagle eye, you'll notice a BD-5 in the background of one of the scenes of Die Another Day

Some of you bananas had me thinking twice about seeing this one in the theater.  Well, today I headed off to see the early showing of LOTR: Two Towers so as to beat the crowds, only to find out that the geeks were out in full force.  We decided to see Bond instead.

It was a great Bond flick.  Had all the necessary bond elements, John Cleese was great, and despite my reservations even Barry did a good job in it.  It's a Bond movie for cripes sake...check yer brain at the door and enjoy!  :)
