OK, the Die Another Day thread has me wondering about what Bond movies people thought were the best and worst.  As I mentioned in that post, Bond movies are different things to different people. Some folks like all the Gadets, some people like the action, and some people just like watching a smooth operator work his business. So what are your favorite/least favorite Bond movies.
My Favorites:
1. Dr No
2. GoldenEye
3. For your Eyes Only
4. From Russia With Love
5. Thunderball

Least Favorite:
1. Licensed to Kill (least favorite)
2. The World is Not enough
3. You Only Live Twice
4. The Spy Who Loved me
5. Diamonds are Forever

YMMV :)

Don't really have any least favorites.  For me, the soundtrack makes it or breaks it.:)

Connery - From Russia with Love.
Moore - For your Eyes Only.
Brose - Goldeneye.

Dalton was reminicent of ass.  Lasenbie wasn't bad.  And no way is Casino Royal an actual Bond movie.

That's a really tough question. My favorite would have to be From Russia with Love... Connery was really into and having fun with the role; Robert Shaw... c'mon, how cool was he !?!; The Russian girl was one of the most beautiful of the series; The story was good old-fashioned Cold War Spy vs Spy (and very faithful to the Fleming novel).

My worst has to be one of Moore's... probably Octopopsicle, maybe View to a Kill.

I actually liked Dalton very much... after Moore's double-taking-flinching-while-shooting-smarmy-prissiness, he seemed to be a step upward.

I had read all of the novels at a pretty young age, before seeing most of the movies (Dad was into Bond). I think Brosnan actually comes closest to the literary Bond.

Want a good story? Find and read the original short story of A View to a Kill or The Living Daylights.
