Ostwind gunsight

Hi all!

First: do someone have pictures of the original gunsight of the ostwind?
Second: do someone have an AH gunsight for the Ostwind with corresponding explanaition that helps to evaluate the lead angle?

Good point Duedel, I can't really hit anything with an Ostwind unless if they're coming at me head-on (air targets of course), limited experience in it though.

Btw, where do you live exactly? Saw you type German the other night. I live close to the German border in the Netherlands myself and can read a bit of German. Also noticed some Belgians around, talking Dutch.

On another note, you shot me down three times the last few weeks. I know I suck but I'd like to get you in return too

Take care,

RH

I live in Bremen about 150 km away from the Netherlands. Been in Enschede and Groningen a few times the last 2 years (my grilfriend likes shopping :D there).

Cant remember when i shot u down. Did we had a fight or was it a vulch (i guess the last one is more likelyhood).

I live near Eindhoven, quite a way from Bremen. Been to Enschede last month for a concert though, is 200km from where I live.

You shot me down by surprise as far I can remember. Never saw you (my SA is reasonable though), only got the message 'Duedel shot you down'

<-- not giving away my secrets for hitting a plane crossing path IE: going left to right 1.5k steady...

there are a few (mainly squaddies) who have watched me do this and go WTFG how'd you DO that!

well it all goes to leading the proped distance.

let's just say in the example above u have to lead somewhere between 1/4 to 1/2 your screen width... NOT telling any more :D
I don't know what to put here yet.

90% of people who are having troubles hitting crossing air targets are not leading nearly enough.  JB73 is dead on, you need to lead a lot more than you may think.  Actual round drop is very small out to D2.5 (you may also not find as much drop when you are firing up at targets as if you were firing level), the lead on something at even 200mph crossing though is huge.
