No more rank for me, I withdraw from the competion

Funny you should mention connection. Every once in awhile my DSL slows WAY down. Today is one of those days. Only in spurts, but my old roommate has the same service and is a server geek. After tracing the times when his went slow, he claims a company had hacked into his bandwidth, caught them via a trace or something redhanded. I'll look into that.

Anyway, if SOB never sends me a file for my new TM stuff which btw is like wrestling a gorilla compared to the Saitek, I will the the champion hangar killer. (Or not actually)

You guys can "bust your balls" all you want on your score, but this is a great gameplay addition and once worked out a pretty decent jesture on HTC's part to give alittle back to good players. Or a tremendous beta testing scam, cuz damn if the motivated score dorks ain't saving them alot of time! ( and that's pretty sweet )

This was my thought as well.  If the original intention or not, it is a great opportunity for them.  I am sure the logs they have generated already shed light on much  (wouldn't mind seeing them myself :) )

Agreed. I simply could not believe stuff people knew, and ironically didn't rant about until now.

I would always log in and go find a fight. How anyone would concider to shoot a friendly hangar is beyond me. Funny how the best developers/bug finders can be had for $50 a tour.

And this was done in CT, no wonder MA behaviours!

These guys looking for score are the most ridiculous caracters in AH, IMHO. Better yet, they would be ridiculous if the score system were fair and sound. But actual behaviour of score system and easyness of cheating make score potatos and rank seekers as pathetic as they can be.

I do not critizice flying styles. Even when I talk about lemmings is more a taunt than a critic. But these guys thinking score and rank mean anything really crack me up.  :D

Of course, it's just my opinion  :)

To bad you did the test incorrectly.  It works in Attack mode, don't know if it will work in Fighter mode.  While it's not a cheat in the hack sort of way, you are exploiting a weak link in the ranking system to achieve a higher rank and that's just as good as using a cheat hack to accomplish the same thing IMO.

that'll teach ya HTC!!!

trying to spice it up alittle, make it fun, make a contest of sorts for those interested & give away some of YOUR money.

to those whining about it like the silly little girls you must be:
who cares about your score or mine or the contest - quit your squeaking please!

Hold on let me get this straight,,,,,

in order to UP my hit% i sit inside a friendly hanger in a p47 and shoot the walls??????????

In order to get in the top 15 we will HAVE to employ this and other 'cheats/loopholes/gaming the game tactics?

this is the worst news ive had in ages.Whats happening to AH? is it filling up with quake heads or what?

am i alone in wanting a SIMULATION OF WARFARE?? a more serious game?

I have to say it this is the reason im paying money to play AH. Not to go around shooting planes down in a arcade type enviroment. If i wanted a stupid unrealistic WW2 game id play iL2 :D 'snork'

ok if i wanted silly enviroments id play battlefield 1942 or day of defeat  or other unrealistic types. They are free because no one would pay to play them.If AH doesnt keep its more serious element , its simulation element I dont think ill continue to pay to be honest.I really hope HTC addresses this 'gaming the game' behaviour as soon as possible. The fact HT asked about the suicide element makes me really happy. The sooner those idiots who play AH like a shoot em up leave in frustration the better it will be for us .Good luck HTC in sorting it out
