I never even remotly try to amke it in the top 100.

I know very little pilots who can constantly shoot me down in a duel, certainly not all 300 ahead of me scorewise. So I never really paid attention to the score thingy.

Except all the loops and tricks enonciated above, I think that HTC put this money reward thing to encourage people to fly move diversely ... bombers/GVs/Attacks ... but maybe they were unaware of the "conspiracy inside their own casttle"

... or maybe ... they wanted to expose them all by observing the behavior of the top 10s :D  :D   You guys are going down!your head will be thrown to squiddie!!!
Dat jugs bro.

It is possible to make it in the top 10 without doing 'gamey' stuff... I'm in the top 10 right now.

I haven't shot a friendly building yet, have yet to drop just one bomb on a target to improve hit %... what else is there?

Urchin most of them are just trying to find a reason to call those who fly for rank cheaters.

What brady is referring to in his post is something totally different then what most folks are implicating here.

I explained in detail in several threads how the score system works. The best way to get a high rank is just to kill stuff, kill it fast and dont die.

Wasting your time worried about your hit % may in the short term bump your rank a bit but it detracts in other areas. The attack rank is made up of 10 seperate sub categories. Spawning and shooting your own hanger will increase you hit % while in attack mode. However your rank in kills per sortie and kills per time online will drop. These 2 sub-categories are the most competitive. Any small movement up/down will greatly effect your overall rank far beyond what benefit you get in the hit % category.

You will do better to maintain a high hit % by killing structures with bombs for attack mode. Wasting your time spraying your own structures will never get you into the top 15.

This has been explained numerous times.

Again this is very different then what brady is talking about.

Another thing you may want to look at is.. By hitting the friendly hanger he got 100% in hit percentage "vs. enemy" and nothing in "vs. objects"

I think most people in top 30 will get a chance if HT doesn't let people win multiple times like they say, because some people ranked top 15 will still be ranked top 15 next month & months after.

You gotta admire fariz, getting rank 1 in everything during a very competitve month like this and it doesn't look like he's vulched any PT boats yet!!

I still think somethin wrong when someone flies 6-7 carefully orchestrated buff-milkruns..in reality accomplish nothing except making the point system happy..and get a top 5 buff rank
Never underestimate the power of stupid people in large numbers

I don't think the majority that try to fly for better ranks are cheaters but I do think that there are some that take advantages of certain things in the scoring system to achieve better rank.  Those that do that are cheating and are no better then some twit that uses a speed hack or any other type of cheating hack.

A guy that sits in his own hanger and shoots at the walls to improve hit percentage which would help in increasing his rank is a cheater and should be treated as such.  Anyone caught doing this should automatically be disqualified for any awards given for high ranking.

Brady, there are several bishops in top 5 who play for ranks this tour. I am one of them. If you saying something like that, you are better call name, and be more detailed, or you are accusing several people at once.

And no, I am not shooting friendly hangars.

Can't believe you need further explanation. He is not acusing anyone, but stating a general situation. Crystal clear, I would add.

Let alone the meaning of "Rank"  :D

again people who think their rank will improve by strafing their ownn hangers dont understand the complexity of the rank system.

A lo end guy strafing his own hanger m ay move up from 1000 to 400 but he never get his rank up high enough to make any difference in this contest. Folks who keep throwing about "rank = cheater or dweeb" or they have a greater potential to "cheat or be dweebs" have no clue about what it takes to get their rank up.

First they claim rank players run alot. Well you cant get rank unless you kill stuff and kill it fast

Well then they say all ranked players are vulchers, but the next time you are at a vulch kick your film on then go to the film viewer and count the number of lower ranked players vulching.

Then they say well rank players milkrun. The next time you see a strat obj being milkrun go there do the film thing and check the ranks of those milkrunning.

Point to a post of comment from a ranked player that goes around saying that his rank means hes better or more skilled then anyone else. These are things you here from other folks as if they suffer from some inferiority complex. So to compensate they go about throwing accusations with no understanding of how things work.

You up a fighter and go bomb down a fh or strafe it down and you can get the same hit % from strafing your own plus the points for destroying it.

Rank players have very little impact of what goes on in the main. Its the 50 man base rape / auger mission folk and the runners that make the main less fun.

It doesnt matter to me either way. Fly how ya want , believe what you want and hold on to what ever gets you through.

If brady really believes someone is cheating why doesn't he just say who it is and what they are doing ?

because somethings are not for public consumption and it most certainly wasnt cheating as it relates to ah gameplay.

Cheating implies hacking and all the that other crap.

There was no "cheating".
