I think its senseless to put these poor, obviously mistreated, animals to sleep because of their owner's carelessness,
instead they should put them up for adoption for someone responsible to care for them,.....Hey maybe Saddim likes dogs,  Bush can send them to Iraq as a gift.

That's the thing, MajTom. As of yet, we do not know if the animals were mistreated. If they weren't and simply attacked for no reason (which pitbulls do sometimes) then they would need to be put down to avoid any other attacks.

Wait and see how it develops...
